More than 2,500 women have stripped naked on a beach in the Republic of Ireland to break the world record for the largest skinny dip.
Magheramore Beach, just south of Wicklow Town, was the venue for the women-only event on Saturday morning.
The combined efforts of the 2,505 women broke the existing Guinness World Record, which had been set in 2015 when 786 people bared all on South Beach in Perth, Australia.
The event marked the sixth year of the annual Strip and Dip charity swim, which was founded by Deirdre Featherstone when she was undergoing treatment for breast cancer.

LABSN Editor’s Note: The reactions to Pink’s nipples are what we may expect from such a conservative society, but the author of this piece handles the comments with wit, sarcasm, and wisdom.
LABSN Editor’s Note: Three very good writers are sharing their ideas about a writing genre they all produce. I thought I’d share one of the posts, leading you to their blog site.
LABSN Editor’s Note: These women are so inspirational that they reach across national boundaries.
We recently received an email message from a woman in Turkey that broke our heart, but also filled us with gratitude and hope. With her permission, we’re sharing her message here (but not her…
LABSN Editor’s Note: randomfactsgeekjga is passionate about making nudism/naturism a normal state of being and this article articulates his ideas well.
Nudism is one of my passions. I want it to be promoted, widespread and accepted. We should definitely promote nudism, and for many reasons. Nudism deserves to be promoted, widespread and accepted. We need to promote nudism in a positive way or else nudism will still be rejected by the prudish public, nudism will still be associated with sexual perversion and society will not practice nudism more often. We need more nudists in this world anyway.
I want to have nudism become available for everyone and everywhere in this world. That would sound awesome! Precisely, how can we make this happen? I present my ideas here, hopefully this can be something done and you can give me additional ideas in the comments if I have missed any.
Nudism should definitely be available for everyone and everywhere. Nudism does not discriminate against anyone. There are nudists everywhere in the world, from…

LABSN Editor’s Note: This is from 2014, but I just found it and thought it was interesting. The writer, Lili Boisvert, argues the right of women to go topless in public in a very logical, calm manner.
If we combine heterosexual women and homosexual men, there’s a large percentage of the population that is attracted to men’s, not women’s bodies.
So why is it OK for men to go topless, but not women? Does it mean that women’s and gay men’s desires are worth less than those of heterosexual men?
LABSN Editor’s Note: Since Felicity Jones closed down the Young Naturists America blog last year, she has started a personal blog on “naturism, censorship, topfree equality, body image and other fun topics.” Here’s one of the first she posted and the follow-up interviews can be found on her blog.
