LABSN Editor’s Note: It’s been a while since I’ve posted, but found this article and thought it was written in such a down-to-earth manner I wanted to post it.

BBC – Travel – Why Germans love getting naked in public

LABSN Editor’s Note: This is a short history of the nudist culture in Germany, which some say is the birthplace of today’s nudist movement.

“Free-body culture” promotes harmony with nature, and today some Germans sunbathe nude, strip down to play sports and even hike in the buff.

Nudity is the Future – The Art of Storytelling

LABSN Editor’s Note: An interesting take on changing mores.

S

Someday in the near future, no later than 2040, you will go to the beach and see more than a few people not wearing a bathing suit, or anything else for that matter. People will be able to get thei…

Purists v partiers: the battle between two popular nudist resorts | Life and style | The Guardian

LABSN Editor’s Note: I thought this Guardian newspaper of London captured the contrast between the two camps of nudists.

One of Florida’s oldest and most staid communities, Lake Como, and nearby Caliente Club struggle with being misunderstood – and with each other

Why Germany′s nudist culture remains refreshing | Meet the Germans | DW | 06.06.2018

LABSN Editor’s Note: This article appeared on the DW.com/meetthegermans website in 2018. I thought it had some interesting information, especially about the history of FKK in Germany. By-the-way, DW.com has a wonderful English language station. There’s internatiional news, culture, and art programs.

From lakes to saunas and parks: Is Germany’s nudist culture, known as FKK, dying out or still making waves? It’s still strong enough to inspire a change of attitude for Berlin-based expats.

The Many Considerations of Skinny-Dipping | Outside Online

LABSN Editor’s Note: Here’s a very reasonable response to a young lady’s question on skinny dipping.

I am 18 and just graduated from high school. This summer I’m working as a counselor at a sleepaway camp that I attended as a kid.

How I got naked in front of strangers at the nation’s second-oldest nudist resort in Littleton — The Know

LABSN Editor’s Note: Here’s an interesting article about a women’s first time experience at a nudist resort.

The Mountain Air Ranch bills itself as a family nudist resort. It was founded in 1935 for the purpose of Social Nudity, which means that you can be naked in a relatively public setting without infringing upon the privacy of others who don’t want to see your bits.

Rewilding – Naturism as Therapy | A Canadian Naturist

LABSN Editor’s Note: I found this piece by Robert Longpré on his blog site, A Canadian Naturist, very enlightening so I wanted to share it.

Naturism is a therapy, nature’s therapy for the soul. There is no better way to simply experience the fullness of being alive in the world than to make oneself fully vulnerable to that world. It do…
